Sir Denis Mahon dedicated his life to the Italian Baroque, his discoveries and his studies on the beauty of Bolognese painting at the turn of the seventeenth century, brought to light exceptional artists such as Guercino, hitherto not recognized painter in his greatness.
The exhibition will show more than 45 masterpieces: some belonged to his collection, along with works by Poussin, Guercino, Carracci and Caravaggio from the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg and other public collections that have generously contributed to the exceptional richness of this exhibition .
