Feast of the Immaculate Conception 8 December Rome


#Roma: December 8 is the Catholic feast of the “Immaculate Conception”, a dogma of faith proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854. On this occasion, a column bearing a statue of the Virgin Mary was placed in Piazza Mignanelli next to Piazza di Spagna in 1857. The column comes from Roman excavations, while the statue was sculpted by G. Obici. Rome December 8: “Immaculate Madonna”


#Rome December 8, is the religious holiday of the “Immaculate Conception” dogma of faith proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854. Statue of San. Francesco at Porta San Giovanni


The monument to St. Francis of Assisi (1181 / 82-1226) on the square of Porta S. Giovanni was inaugurated in 1927 on the occasion of the seventh centenary of the death of the saint.
